Hello World...

Hello everyone. My name is Mackenzie Kaitlynn Adair. I was born on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at 12:51 in the afternoon. I was 5lbs and 11oz and 19 inches long. Things were a little bumpy for me and Mom at first but we got it figured out. I first wanted out at around midnight and had tested the waters a couple times before that, but around 2am I started to make my move. Mom and the midwifes, Gillian and Julia, conferred and decided that it would be best if Dad drove us to Lions Gate Hospital. The speed bumps in the parking lot made me queesy but unfortunately it made Mom feel worse. We got to our room and Mom hopped in the tub to help me along; what I had not told anyone is that I was streching my neck at the time and had my head tipped way back. I later heard some of the big people talking about how that wasn't such a good idea. So it was several hours later and nothing had really progressed at all. Then the midwifes decided that Mom and Dad could probably use some sleep so Mom could relax and I could move my head down where it was supposed to be in the first place. So a nice man from the hospital arrived and gave Mom an epidural. Wow, was she a happy camper after that visit. The word on the street is that she highly recommends the stuff.... After a good but short nap Mom and Dad were ready to meet me and I was well streched and ready for the event. Within a short period of time I went from a really warm dark wet place, to a very different world, but right away there she was, MOMMY. I lay down on her chest and it was so nice. Everything else was quite blurry. I have it on good authority though, that along with my dad, my Grampa Larrie my Grandma Gwen and my Auntie Robyn were all there to see me arrive. Mom, Dad and I spent the night in the hospital were I got the hang of feeding, and my Dad says I am really good at pooping. Gillian and Julia saw me again in the morning and they agreed that I am very cute, which I have heard a lot so far and then Mom, Dad and Grandma brought me home. Dad quickly showed me how to use the computer, he said it would come in handy for later! This was the first chance I had to sit down and Blog. I can't wait to meet everyone, but I am really tired and not feeling very social. I bet by next week I will be ready. Gurgle at you soon, check back..

Love Kenzie....
